Hey, you. Yeah. YOU.

So, apparently I missed the boat on Delurking Day 2009. This is a day when folks who read a blog are encouraged to stop by and leave a comment. Any comment. Any word choice pattern that involves clacking some keys and moving a mouse.

I apologize for my lack of timeliness. I am surfin' the 'Net today to delurk upon some bloggies that I enjoy. Many of them of are way over there in my favorite blog list on the left. You'd be an improved human being to visit those places.

So, my lovelies, if you happen to read this blog and enjoy the randomness, comedy, tragedy, and tomfoolery that splashes upon your screen, come on a' my house and leave a comment. Delurk. Make it so.

In other news...

I feel like I am a newborn learning about the world. I'm waking up after a long sleep. That whole mess back in '08 (which I like to call Aught Eight like an old rummy, and will sorely miss saying the 'aught' part of Aught Nine once Ten rolls around) left me a puddle of a mess. For those of you wondering, I'm getting back to normal, but some sort of new normal. I think it is a better new normal than the old norm. I think.

Currently, we are watching some bizarre ocean volcano song on "Diego" on Nick Jr. I believe the words were, "You've got to blow! blow! blow! like an ocean volcano! Blow! BLOW! BLOW! BLOW! BLOW!" Now they are yelling, "You gotta squirt! Squirt!"

Perhaps this will be my new mantra for Aught Nine. You gotta squirt. You gotta blow.

I'll leave you with that.

15 beautiful people muttered something back:

Is it ok if I just dribble a bit?

My Nephew watches Diego every day, there is always strange songs.

This comment was brought to you by the clacking some keys and moving a mouse.

Almost sounds like a bad porno movie, doesn't it?

'08 blew. I think '09 should be different, so squirt it is. Squirt isn't as bad as blowing, anyway.

I started lurking yesterday.

Here from Mile High Mamas. Thanks for your great comment yesterday!

Joie at Canned Laughter - You may dribble, and I might catch. Or. Er. Whatever saying I should use to complete that. Two birds in a bush? Maybe? Thanks for stopping by!

Stephen - Aw, Stephen. I can always count on my favorite Welshman (and hey, I actually know more than you and Gareth) to stop by and share in my contemplations. Now, go make me a figgy pudding. Or, a Glashlkfsdfasdlkjasf pudding, spelled in Welsh.

Suzanne - Ha! I stopped short of saying lewd things about squirting and blowing, but darn it, Diego! How can I NOT think them?!

Lori - Thank ya! Swing on through whenever the breeze sends you this way. I'm going to pretend to be a writer again, so there might actually be content here again. Yay.

Flash! Oh wait, was I simply supposed to de-lurk? :)

I know, I'm the worst about reading and not commenting.

Sorry!

I bought a Fraggle Rock DVD from Wal-Mart for $5, and Neilen has rejected it. He wants to watch Dora instead. Whatever happened to quality children's television with monster puppets dancing and singing about gourds?

These kids don't know what they're missing.

You really need to check your email more. ;)

Hiya, Sarah!

I've decided I will say One-Aught in 2010 - you're right, it is fun to say! (But still screwed in 2011, boo!)

Glad you're doing well.

We'll have the zero in the hundreds column for another 90 years, so we should be able to say "aught ten, aught eleven,", etc., until we get tired of it. Then we can switch to "naught 13..."

And, yeah, of all the weirdness that Diego brings, the singing volcanoes were the most bizarre. At least it was a plot twist that I never saw coming. Who expects undersea volcanoes to crank out a musical number?

I'm late again, as has been my standard timing since I had kids. Happy Delurking Day, 8 days late!

I should also mention that I'm VERY impressed that Amos' picture is on the Blog 365 button!

I missed Delurking Day? Dang. Well, at least I'm leaving a comment now. Your blog is always a pleasure to read, even when things aren't going well. I'm always rooting for you and the rest of the Porter circus folk.

I apparently missed the boat on Delurking as well, so here goes. Hi, I'm Sarita and I'm a lurker. (Hi Sarita). Anyway, I found your blog on Mile High Mamas on a day I was surfing, desperately looking for other moms of like mind. I started out looking for Moms that mountain bike but got nowhere. Then, I realized what was missing with the moms I knew was plain and simple.....irreverence. And that's how I discovered your blog. I love reading your random thoughts and ideas (and especially what Phil might comment back!) I'm sure you get this a lot, but we really do have much in common. (from Tejas, live in Denver, and my little girl is 19 months). Anyway, I read religiously and have added a link to your blog on my blog, hope you don't mind.

Is it okay to be late in de-lurking because...oh, it is? Okay. Well, I'll just stand over here, then...You know, away from the squirting.
