Monkeys walk upright

I think the title says it all. Or perhaps you require a video?

YAY, AMOS!!!!!

He took his first steps last night. Just small, tentative steps. Then, today I held his hand and let him go across the room, exactly the way that is shown in the video. Except, I didn't catch it on video. So, technically the video is of Amos' second sashay across the dance floor.

He didn't disappoint me, though. How about that walk, sit, stand up, and walk again maneuver?! Huh?! Woo!!!

Alrighty. You can go on about your day. Did you do anything significant and earth-shattering today?

I think not.

Aw! That is so darn cute! I especially like his Christmasy and festive outfit! ;)

That's more than a walk. That's a bonafide saunter. Or even a stroll. What a baby man he is doing all this growed up and cool stuff all the sudden like. Pure awesomeness. And I don't know if it was earth-shattering but I did some crazy new yoga maneuvers today that I wish my mom woulda caught on video. ;-)

We never should have let Amos watch "Staying Alive." Now that it's inspired him to walk, I know his first sentence will be, "You know what I want to do? Strut." And then off he'll go on a disco-backed walk around the mean streets of our neighborhood.

You ask "Did you do anything significant and earth-shattering today?"

Does watching a kid strut for the first time count?

That's really cool, I bet you are really proud. Give it a couple of weeks and you will be telling him to stop running everywhere.

Well done Amos

Way to go, Amos! That child looks like he's been doing it for weeks!

(but I still think that bootie scoot is the cutest thing ever!)

WOW! Hooray for Amos. From the way he was walking, you might want to consider buying running shoes in the near future. :-)

Wow, those are some impressive first steps! He has such good balance and really got some distance.

Go Amos!

(Though now the real trouble, er I mean fun, starts for you.)

Alright, AMOS! I would love to see a video of his 'strut' once he masters it. I'm sure it will be nothing for him.

Now you can start sending him to fetch things for you!

Whoa, Amos! That's some mighty fine walkin'. You've been saving it up, kiddo - that shorely doesn't look like your first few steps. Congrats!
