Clean = party

Relatives are in town. Do you know what that means?

Our house is clean.

Yes! I said, "Clean!"

Every time we clean for visitors, I think we should have a party. Maybe I'll invite people over on Saturday, just to show them, "Hey, we are not the dirty hermits you think we are."

Out-of-towners also means:

Zoo fun. Yay! Tours. Yay! Walks in the 'hood. Yay! Mountain excursions. Yay!

So, why haven't you visited us yet?

Did I mention that our house is clean?

12 beautiful people muttered something back:

I clean up and then thing "why am I doing this?"

The cat seems to appreciate it :)

Playing tour guide is fun, especially in this beautiful state! I know you'll enjoy it. Maybe I'll see you at the Highlands Street Party on Saturday.

I meant "think" - not "thing".

but I didn't think :0

We'll be there! And if we do have a party, you are totally invited.

Otherwise, we are quizzin'. Wanna quiz?

So basically, we only clean when people are coming to visit or coming to feed the cat. So, yeah, two or three times a year. But now we'll keep it clean! Really!! We promise! It's a new day! Or not.

Ha ha ha! What a funny post. And so true--for me, anyway. I need to have some visitors or a party--SOON!

We are leaving town next week so I shall spiffy up the abode. I don't want to come back to a messy house. Plus, what would the robbers think of us if they should break in and we left it a mess?

I've tried, but just can't seem to keep a clean house. So, I share in your excitment when the house is clean. I'm happy for you!

Won't your vistors have read this blog? They will know you have only cleaned because they are coming?

We have - many times - invited people over at the last minute (even sometimes calling multiple friends until we get a taker) simply because the house is clean. It's THAT rare.

We've had our house for not even 4 months yet, and we've only NOT had visitors for maybe 6 weeks of that time. And most of that time was when we were gone to visit family in Dallas!

So, the pressure to constantly keep our house clean is wearing me down quickly.

I'm going to come and visit you, just so I won't have to clean my own home for a week. Sound good?
