Oops. I probably shouldn't have watched that while I was holding Amos. Now he's seen how cool kids look when they smoke and drink.
Very timely reminder. I frequently hear my grandchildren and think "They've heard mom/dad say that." Of course, they don't learn any bad habits from grandma. ;D
I never knew how much influence I had on my kids until one day, when Alex was 10 and Louie was 12. Alex walked into the family room, knelt down next to his brother, who was playing with Legos at the time, and said "Hey, dickhead, watcha doin'?" The dirty look that Annie shot at me is STILL bouncing off the walls of that room.
Wow! What a powerful clip! So scary, but such an important reminder.
Sheesh. Neilen has picked up some bad habits. Not smoking or drinking. Well, he did try to drink my pina colada yesterday.
Mostly bad words. I admit I'm guilty, but I'm not the only one! I blame Aaron, too, my family, his family, television, other kids, and Sirius radio. I should shelter my kid more.
