Ugh. Can't move. Can't think. Too. Tired.
I may have pureed too many things, but good grief, is it delicious! I will update tomorrow (today?) with kitchen adventures. It's 1am, I just finished pureeing the last batch of veg - the beets. I have beet taste in my mouth. It is VERY strong.
I'm still in my apron. A little cup of sweet potato puree is soothing me toward bedtime. Better than sweet dessert, I tells ya.
G'night. More tomorrow.
*drags my tired cook carcass off to sleep*

I knew that there was a reason that God had it so younger folks had children. Good Grief! Listening to your day makes me tired! Sounds like a culinary tour de force though!
I gotta tell ya, beet soup leaves me a little short on enthusiasm - so I'm hoping whatever it is you're doing works out better than that red mess my Grandma used to make.
The pureed sweet potatoes are delicious. Amos was lucky I let him eat most of the taters in his bowl. The jury might still be out on the beets, though.
I happen to know that beets added to chocolate cake are very good. I've tasted that. In fact the recipe was called "Beet-nic Cake." And it gives the cake a deep, rich color as well. Hope you enjoy your purees.
Are you really so healthy that you would eat a liquefied sweet potato and call it desert?

Ecky - Purees are delicious! The cauliflower puree is so good. They're all good... especially the sweet potatoes.

Zquilts - Indeed, it was tiring even for my 34 years. I need to exercise and strengthen my back just to cook. Haha!
LceeL - I think I'll be hiding the beets in other dishes. It's a tad on the crazy-strong side of flavor.
Phil "licks the spoon" - When Amos gets angry about not getting enough sweet potatoes, I'll know who to blame...
Eve - ha! Perhaps I will call it Beet-nik Cake. Then I will drape myself in a black turtleneck, a dark room, and snap my fingers a lot.
Nina - You can keep on staring, 'cause it's true. Haha. Sweet potato puree tastes just as good as sweet potato pie. I'm not crazy, I swear.

am doing some "ketchup" reading...ha!...i dont think i have ever eaten a beet...sounds good though...all this talk of steamed veggies is making me hungry....good for you!!...we are a raw veggie family...the kids love brocc and caulifower and even the broccoflower mix...thats just creepy to me...we use fresh spinach for everything too...its not that hard when you start them early on it...
